Purpose of assessment
Award of the Diploma in Geriatric Medicine is intended to indicate that a Doctor has attained enhanced experience and knowledge in a range of aspects of medical care of older people including rehabilitation and social care to a level expected of a General Practitioner with a special interest in medicine for the elderly.
