Examinations and Assessment Unit

|
The Examinations and Assessment Unit is responsible for the conduct of postgraduate dental, medical and surgical examinations. Its portfolio of examinations includes speciality-specific diplomas, Membership and Fellowship examinations, many of which are managed collaboratively with other Royal Colleges. The panels of examiners comprise senior clinicians and practitioners from the UK and overseas health sectors. Examinations continue to form the cornerstone of knowledge-based assessment and examinations and assessment methods are evolving to reflect sectoral developments in assuring the competence of junior doctors.
Examination centres are located in Glasgow, many other parts of the UK and overseas. Examinations Unit staff are eager to provide a professional service that is efficient, prompt and friendly to examiners and candidates. Each examination has a designated administrator who deals with candidates from application through to results stages and organises examiner attendance as required at oral and clinical examinations.
If you are interested in becoming an Examiner or looking for information about the examinations we offer, please see the information on theĀ examinations section of the website.
