Membership of the Faculty of Travel Medicine
The Faculty of Travel Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow is pleased to announce the availability of this assessment.
The examination is in two parts – Part 1 written and Part 2 objective structured clinical examination. A pass in Part 1 (or possession of an exempting qualification) is required to enter Part 2. Full details are available in the documents listed below.
Purpose of assessment The purpose of the assessment is to benchmark achievement of a level of experience and training expected of fully independent travel medicine practitioners. Success in the examination provides the main route into Membership of the Faculty of Travel Medicine (MFTM) of the College. The Faculty aims to offer support to members at all stages of their careers.
Bursaries Examination Fees - Bursary Funds have been established by the Royal College of Nursing and the British Travel Health Association respectively to assist eligible members who may have difficulty in meeting the examination fee for Part 2. You can contact us for details – please include your membership ID number of either the RCN or BTHA: these details will then be forwarded to the appropriate contact: mftm@rcpsg.ac.uk
