Welcome to the Faculty of Travel Medicine Section

The Faculty has developed considerably since its establishment in 2006 and you will be joining a growing membership committed to ensuring high standards of practice through assessment and continuing professional development. The College's Examinations and Assessment Unit conducts postgraduate examinations for travel medicine professionals on behalf of the Faculty of Travel Medicine. The main route into Membership or Associate Membership is through success in our assessments.

Examinations and Assessments
Our examinations are conducted in Glasgow, with an option for Diploma candidates to request an overseas venue for the written examination.  We welcome all enquiries, made in person, by letter, by email or by telephone. You are invited also to visit the College to discuss any aspect of your application or the examination itself. Our staff members are responsible for all stages of candidate administration from application through to results. Staff are able to appreciate the issues facing candidates and to offer support whether they are sitting in Glasgow or overseas.

The Faculty has designed a new assessment to permit entry to Membership of the College. This is the MFTM examination which will be offered for the first time in January 2010.  Full information on travel medicine examinations offered by the College can be accessed by using the links on the left.
