2011 Round

ACCEA has announced the results of the 2011 Awards round which are available at http://www.dh.gov.uk/ab/ACCEA/2011RoundResults/index.htm

2012 Round

The 2012 Round has not yet opened. Part of the remit for the DDRB review was to give advice to the Department of Health on whether there should be a new awards round in 2012. A decision from Ministers is still awaited. It is anticipated that there will be a renewals round and although the assumption is that there will also be a new awards round, until this is known for certain, the online submission process cannot be opened. New guidance will be issued if and when it does. Although it was hoped to maintain the closing date of 9 December 2011 for national awards, the likely closing date will now be in the New Year. Word versions of the application forms are below to allow consultants to work, should they wish, on their applications before the launch of the online system.

Guidance on College Support

College would normally be given the opportunity to provide supporting statements for a limited number of self-nominations. Should you intend to self-nominate and wish to be considered for College support, you should forward the relevant forms below, in confidence, to nominations@rcpsg.ac.uk by 5pm on Monday 31st October. Applications after this date cannot be considered.

Should you wish to apply for College support for a Platinum Award, your forms should be submitted by Friday, 28th October to allow the College to submit its nominated list to the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges.
