The Academy of Medical Sciences and the Wellcome Trust are launching a new £5m grants scheme designed to support research active Clinical Lecturers.

The scheme is a collaboration with the Wellcome Trust and provides up to £30,000 to enable Clinical Lecturers to undertake research work and gather preliminary data in order to strengthen applications for longer-term fellowships and other funding.

The scheme will operate for a period of four years and there will be two application rounds per year.
