College Admission Ceremonies/Absentia

At RCPSG, admission to Fellowship, Membership or Associateship is a celebrated occasion.  Each year College invites newly elected members and guests to celebrate by attending one of College's Admission Ceremonies.

Whether you choose to be admitted to College by Ceremony or in absentiawe welcome you and look forward to your continued association with us.

 Ceremony of Admission

Admission Ceremonies are a formal occasion and are usually held within the magnificent Bute Hall at the University of Glasgow.  Acknowledging individual achievements, Diplomates are formally processed into Bute Hall by College Council and granted their award by the College's President.  Diplomates are required to be gowned and must register for admission on the day of the ceremony.  Please note, that due to the popularity of this event, there is a limited number of places for Diplomates' guests.

College welcomes Diplomates to celebrate the day with their family or invited guests by taking a College Tour prior to the ceremony, and by joining Members of the Council, special guests and the College Management Team for a light buffet and drinks reception immediately after the Ceremony.  Diplomates of a certain level of award are also welcome to make reservations to join the President and other College members for dinner at the College.  To find out more about the College Dinner and to book your reservation go to College Dinner.

To reserve your place at a College Admission Ceremony and for forthcoming dates go to arrange my ceremony or contact May Lovell, +44(0) 141 221 6072.

Admission in absentia
