Council Membership 2010/11
Role of Council
Council shall be a consultative and executive body and shall:
- consider matters remitted to it by the College
- watch over the interests of the College
- when considered necessary, make recommendations in respect of the business of the College
- carry into effect all resolutions of the College involving executive action
- in the intervals between meetings of the College, act in all matters requiring immediate attention
- have charge of and be responsible to the College for the College buildings and all their contents
- meet every two months or at such times as the President, or two-thirds of the Members thereof, may deem fit
Role of Trustees
Members of the College Council (as described in Regulation 3.1 as read with Regulation 3.2) shall be the Charity Trustees of the College for the purposes of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005.
