The Faculty of Travel Medicine provides a platform for practitioners to stimulate debate within the discipline by encouraging peer contact and dialogue, while providing colleagues with current information, developments and trends.
To support these aims, the journal Travel Medicine and Infectious Disease is offered to all Fellows, Members and Associates of the Faculty as a membership benefit. Affiliates may also elect to receive access for an additional fee.
The journal publishes peer reviewed papers and research aiming to secure and improve the evidence base and to enable consistent, rational and effective decisions in travel medicine practice.
The general structure of the journal includes editorial comment, review articles, original research articles and short reports. It highlights controversies in the specialism. There will be an increasing body of material aimed at encouraging continuous professional development and highlighting upcoming events. The journal also signposts other websites of interest and of relevance to its content.
We encourage members of the Faculty to submit articles to the journal for publication. More information, including guidance notes for authors, are available on the website: www.travelmedicinejournal.com
