The recent BDA Conference in Glasgow brought to mind the Annual Conference under the Presidency of AP Husband 50 years before. This photograph, from Henry Noble's papers, is of the cruise on Loch Lomond aboard the paddle steamer "Maid of the Loch" which was a highlight of that event. Seen enjoying the evening are (from left), Muriel Macfarlane, Audrey Noble, Crawford Macfarlane, (her brother), Daphne Masterton, Jimmy Masterton and Bill Neithercutt.

The "Maid of the Loch" is still afloat at Lomond Shores, Balloch, on a static berth while awaiting her recommissioning for which a grant has recently been obtained.
