New medical exhibition at 'the Hunterian'

The dental instruments which enabled Lister to probe the skull with the greatest possible accuracy are displayed in the permanent exhibition on Glasgow medicine which opened recently in Glasgow University's Hunterian Museum. The exhibition, "A Healing Passion", which covers both past and present, was - most appropriately - opened on the 11th of May 2006 by the university's recently elected Chancellor, Professor Sir Kenneth Calman. Sir Kenneth trained in surgery before a distinguished career in oncology, medical education and administration.

Further details about the exhibition can be found at the Hunterian website
