Importance of Risk Assessment and Appropriate ProphylaxisCollege is fully supportive of the statement issued by the UK Academy of Medical Royal Colleges regarding the importance of risk assessment and appropriate prophylaxis for venous thromboembolism (VTE) in all patients admitted to hospital. The statement is available on the Academy website
Fellows and Members are urged to take note of the guidelines recently updated by NICE.
